Functions to Import Data from 'z-Tree' into R
Read '.xls' and '.sbj' files which are written by the
Microsoft Windows program 'z-Tree'. The latter is a software for
developing and carrying out economic experiments
(see < http://www.ztree.uzh.ch/> for more information).
zTree 1.0.6, 2019-02-04:
plyr no longer imported (to avoid conflict with dplyr)
zTree 1.0.5, 2018-12-30:
more compact warnings for manipulated files, if getOption(zTree.encoding) is NULL, then getOption(encoding) is used.
zTree 1.0.4, 2017-01-05:
load options correctly
zTree 1.0.3, 2016-12-19:
zTree 1.0.2, 2016-12-19:
zTree 1.0.1, 2016-12-18:
zTree 1.0, 2016-12-17:
added tables=NULL to read all tables in zTreeTables
example to read .sbj-files was misleading
robust against missing entries in .sbj-files (thanks to Michaela Fitzová for the hint)
added "zTree.encoding" option
handles non-z-Tree files more gracefully
added remark regarding locale (thanks to Igor Asanov for the hint).
added "zTree.silent" option
made code robust against non-existent tables, caught (predictable) warnings
corrected merging of sbj files
made merging of tables faster (at the cost of needing the plyr library)
fixed encoding to Latin1 (this becomes an issue once chats are saved in tables)
fixed problem where the first table was ignored in zTreeSbj (thanks to David Hugh-Jones for the hint)
mainly bug-fixes (during 2009 IMPRS Uncertainty Summerschool in Jena)
First public version released on the occasion of IMPRS Uncertainty Summerschool in Jena.
