Realized Relatedness Estimation and Simulation

Functions for studying realized genetic relatedness between people. Users will be able to simulate inheritance patterns given pedigree structures, generate SNP marker data given inheritance patterns, and estimate realized relatedness between pairs of individuals using SNP marker data. See Wang (2017) . This work was supported by National Institutes of Health grants R37 GM-046255.


Realized Relatedness Estimation and Simulation

This package contains useful functions for studying realized genetic relatedness between individuals who can trace back to some recent common ancestors. Functions in this package fall into four main categories:

  1. Simulation of inheritance pattern and SNP marker data
    -sim.recomb()

    -populate.snp()

  2. Scoring identity by descent information from simulated inheritance patterns
